TrendX Insights (TXI) provides specialized business-to-business (B2B) market research reports, database access, and customized consulting services to clients worldwide. The terms of purchase for these products and services are governed by this Refund Policy.
By purchasing syndicated reports, subscribing to our platforms, or commissioning custom research services from TrendX Insights, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms outlined on this page.
Note: Due to the proprietary, confidential, and digital nature of the information we compile and sell, TrendX Insights enforces a strict purchase policy. Please read the sections below to understand our refund and cancellation rules.
Digital Goods Policy
All syndicated market research reports, data sheets, and digital intelligence publications sold by TrendX Insights are digital, non-tangible, and contain highly specialized proprietary information. Once a purchase is processed and the files are dispatched or access is granted, the value of the intellectual property has been fully consumed.
No Returns or Refunds
Therefore, we operate under the following standard business terms:
- All Sales Are Final: TrendX Insights does not accept product returns, nor do we issue financial refunds or cancellations once a digital transaction is completed and the report is delivered via email, download link, or online database portal.
- No Order Cancellations: Orders cannot be cancelled or retracted after payment has been completed and delivery has initiated.
- Client Responsibility: We encourage all clients to read the detailed table of contents, methodology descriptions, and sample reports (available upon request) before completing a purchase to ensure the research matches their business needs.
Exceptions and Special Cases
While standard sales are final, TrendX Insights will consider refunds or partial adjustments in the following limited, verifiable circumstances:
1. Duplicate Purchases
If a client accidentally completes a duplicate payment transaction for the exact same report version or service within a 24-hour period, we will issue a full refund for the duplicate transaction, minus any standard credit card processing fees.
2. Technical Corruption or Delivery Failures
If the delivered file is corrupted or technically unreadable, and we are unable to provide a functional replacement file within two (2) business days of being notified, a full refund may be issued.
3. Delivery of Incorrect File
If the report delivered is completely different from the title purchased on the order receipt, we will supply the correct title immediately. If the correct report is unavailable, a refund will be processed.
Custom Research Services
Bespoke consulting, custom market modeling, and primary research services are governed by separate, signed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) or Statement of Work (SOW) documents.
Cancellation Terms for Custom Projects
Unless explicitly written otherwise in the signed project agreement:
- Retainers and Initial Deposits: Any initial deposit or project kickoff payment is strictly non-refundable once custom research tasks, analyst allocation, or primary stakeholder interviews have commenced.
- Milestone Payments: Payments completed for project milestones are non-refundable upon delivery of the respective milestone deliverables.
- Project Termination: If a custom project is terminated mid-stage by the client, the client remains responsible for all hours worked and expenses incurred by TrendX Insights up to the date of formal written notice of termination.
Quality Commitment and Support
At TrendX Insights, client satisfaction is our priority. If you believe a report has significant data discrepancies, lacks promised coverage, or contains errors, we commit to resolving the issue through direct analyst engagement rather than financial refunds.
Post-Sale Resolution Pathways
If a client expresses concerns with report quality, we offer the following assistance options:
- Analyst Post-Sale Consultation: We will coordinate a phone or video call with the lead research analyst to explain methodologies, clarify data points, and answer custom questions related to the report.
- Bespoke Data Customization: We will attempt to customize the purchase by extracting or researching additional data points within the report’s scope at no extra charge.
- Credit Towards Future Reports: In exceptional scenarios where data quality is verified to be below our published research standards, we may issue store credit redeemable for future syndicated reports.
Refund Processing and Timeline
If a refund is approved by TrendX Insights management under any of the exceptions listed in Section 3, it will be executed in a timely and secure manner.
Processing Procedures
- Original Payment Method: All refunds are issued back to the original payment method used during checkout (Credit/Debit Card, Wire Transfer, or PayPal). We cannot issue refunds to alternative accounts.
- Timeline: Once approved, the refund transaction will be initiated immediately. However, credit card issuers and banks typically take between 7 to 10 business days to post the funds back to your account.
- Confirmation: We will email you a formal credit note/refund confirmation receipt once the transaction has been sent to our payment gateway.
